Leleka Foundation Marks 10 Years of Life-Saving Work in Ukraine

Leleka Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports Ukraine's field medics, is proud to mark 10 years of life-saving work amidst the ongoing war. Since its inception in December 2014, Leleka Foundation has remained steadfast in its mission to save the lives of wounded soldiers and civilians.

What began as a grassroots response by Ukrainian Americans to Russia's aggression has evolved into a sustained effort to save lives on the front lines.

Leleka Foundation marked 10 years of supporting medics in Ukraine on 4 December 2024

Since the full-scale invasion in February 2022, we have raised and spent over USD 12.5 million, delivering over 10,600  fully equipped medic backpacks, more than 50 medical evacuation vehicles, and other essential equipment directly to thousands of medics working on the front lines, ensuring that Ukrainian defenders receive the urgent care they need.

"Medical supplies from Leleka have been a lifeline for us," said Dmytro Petruk, a field medic deployed in eastern Ukraine. "Their support has enabled us to save countless lives under the most challenging conditions imaginable."

"The Foundation's work, made possible by the incredible support of donors, partners, and community members, has helped save thousands of lives,” said Vadim Geshel, co-founder of Leleka Foundation. “We are deeply thankful for everyone who has supported us throughout these ten years. The fight in Ukraine continues, and so does our unwavering commitment to saving lives."
