Ukrainians in Eindhoven raised €4,000 for Leleka

In December 2024, for the second year in a row, Oekraïners in Eindhoven, together with the Dutch organization Vluchtelingenwerk Nederland, organized a concert and charity lottery to raise funds to support Ukraine.

Volunteers engaged both local and Ukrainian entrepreneurs living and working in the Netherlands, who donated fantastic lottery prizes: art workshop certificates, private fitness, karate & tennis lessons, beauty treatments, shopping certificates, handmade jewelry, cookies, and artisanal honey.

"We believe that everyone must contribute to our future—the future of Ukraine. Human life is priceless, and saving as many lives as possible is our mission. That’s why all proceeds from ticket sales and the lottery were donated to Leleka Foundation," said Olha Paliychuk, Oekraïners in Eindhoven's Public Relations Manager.

For Olha, helping Ukraine is deeply personal. Nearly a year ago, a Russian drone killed her uncle. He volunteered to fight the day after the full-scale invasion began. "My husband’s cousin also is missing in action, leaving behind a pregnant wife and an older son," she adds.

In March 2022, Olha and like-minded local Ukrainians registered their organization, understanding that Ukraine and Ukrainians needed support more than ever.

Thanks to this concert and lottery, Stichting Oekraïners in Eindhoven raised €4,000. Leleka Foundation's Ukrainian team used these funds to purchase additional medical backpacks, fully stocked with life-saving supplies, and delivered them to the frontline medics.

As a reminder, Leleka Foundation provides up to 300 medical backpacks to frontline medics every month.
