Jacksonville Ukrainian Festival and Intuition Ale Works Raise $2,350 for Lifesaving Medical Supplies

Leleka Foundation is honored to have received a generous donation of $2,350 from the Ukrainian Festival in Jacksonville. This year it took place on August 24th. The funds were raised through a wonderful partnership with the local community and a key business supporter.

The festival’s organizers teamed up with Intuition Ale Works, who graciously donated three kegs of their special locally brewed beer for the event. In a remarkable show of support, the organizers dedicated all proceeds from the beer sales to Leleka Foundation’s mission of providing critical medical aid to the front lines in Ukraine.

The festival was the largest Ukrainian cultural event in Jacksonville and Northern Florida, drawing a crowd of nearly 2,500 attendees.

"For us, it was very important to showcase local Ukrainian businesses, partner with American businesses that support Ukraine, and promote our culture and traditions," explains Natalia Solyeva, the festival's co-organizer. "At the same time, we wanted to give back to our homeland, especially now when every bit of support is crucial during the war."

She continued, "We were thrilled to cooperate with Leleka Foundation. Helping frontline medics means helping to save the lives of those who defend Ukraine every single day. We were so lucky to have our friends from Intuition Ale Works support this cause by donating their beer, which allowed us to share the profits for Leleka Foundation’s critical needs. This is how unity works!"

This impactful donation of $2,350 will be used to purchase over 90 high-quality tourniquets, which are essential for saving the lives of wounded defenders on the battlefield.
