УКР Leleka Foundation has successfully delivered two more anti-drone systems to the front lines, providing critical protection for medical evacuation vehicles (CASEVACs), their crews and wounded. The systems were funded through the foundation's "Shield the Lifesavers" campaign, which was launched in response to the increasing threat of Russian FPV drones intentionally targeting medics and the wounded.
Ukrainian medical teams have faced a deadly challenge as their vehicles are deliberately attacked by drones, halting life-saving evacuations. Thanks to the generous support of donors, the new systems will help counter this threat.
"These are 11-channel systems that allow us to block the main frequencies on which Russian drones are currently operating," explained Yurii Kubrushko, Leleka's co-founder and anti-drone system coordinator.
He emphasized that the systems are tailored to the specific needs of each medical team. "We always select the systems based on the specific needs of the medics—before purchasing, we consult with them to determine which frequencies need to be jammed in their particular case to ensure maximum protection."
A key advantage of these systems is their modular design. "They can be easily modified by purchasing new modules if the coverage needs to be expanded (1 module = 1 frequency)," Kubrushko added. This ensures the protection can adapt to evolving drone threats.
